Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EOC Workforce Manager based within EOC, Horizon Place . The post holder may also be required to work from our EOC at Bracebridge Heath, Lincoln. The position is a full time basis working a set rota pattern with some elements of unsocial hours working.
The post holder will provide support and management to the EMA Team, including all aspects of staff support and embed a supportive, motivational and compassionate leadership culture across the EOC. This role is a key leadership role in supporting EMAS in continuing our journey and consistently deliver our vision and values.
Accountable to the EOC Senior Manager Performance and responsible for management of a defined group of staff within their portfolio of responsibility. This will include some line management functions of EOC based teams which will include non-clinical EOC staff.
The EOC Workforce Manager is responsible for ensuring their teams maintain compliance with all relevant key quality and workforce requirements. The role will be accountable for a range of key performance indicators for groups of multi-disciplinary teams. The EOC Workforce Manager will work autonomously providing working cover which will ensure continuity of management and providing high quality visible leadership.
Main duties of the job
The Workforce Manager will operate flexibly across the defined area of responsibility, and they will provide support, guidance and advice to all staff based at, or visiting, the EOCs. The role will provide the named leadership point of contact (within area of responsibility) for all staff related issues and be an interface with local stakeholders and external agencies as required.
The role will provide ongoing support and post-incident feedback to EOC team after operational and clinical events. The role will also work in close partnership with team managers to ensure that staff supervision, appraisal, education and development requires are consistently delivered.
The Workforce Manager will be responsible for the oversight and management of relevant investigations, dealing with complaints and issues and ensuring swift resolution where both appropriate and possible. The Workforce Manager will also provide support across the EOC and wider Operations in regard to investigations.
The post holder will also support the EOC on the design and implementation of local transformational change initiatives with the sole aim of enhancing service delivery and increased efficiency. This will include being a local point of contact and representative for operational or external stakeholder engagement. The post holder will also support the wider EOC and organisational resilience (see appendix 2) undertaking relevant command qualifications as appropriate.
