We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician and clinical educator. This particular opportunity is only open to candidates who currently hold formalised teaching/assessor qualifications and have current experience of teaching all contemporary programmes within EMAS Education.
The role of Senior Clinical Educator (SCE) is an important role within EMAS Education and contributes to the delivery of taught programmes, as well as supporting divisional practice development and annual educational updates. Alongside the formal teaching requirements there is a busy team of educators to lead, support and manage as part of the role.
Our Location
This SCE post is aligned to EMAS Education at the Rosings Education Centre (Leicestershire). The main duties require the majority of your time to be spent within the education centre.
Main duties of the job
This is a particularly exciting time in education and EMAS have a range of students/learners accessing the Paramedic Apprenticeship, First Response Emergency Care (FREC) pathway (Technician and Ambulance Support Crew), and CPD programmes. We are also providing learning & development related to the Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP) Programme. You will need to be confident to teach and assess across the range of educational provision. The successful applicant will be supported by a team of peers and the Deputy Head of Education alongside the Head of Education.
It is extremely important that as a SCE that you build close relationships the divisional management teams to ensure that learners are supported both within and outside of the education centres by both the education and operational management teams. You will also need to support Divisions with educational development and practice development, as part of this role. You must therefore be able to practice clinically and provide an operational response in accordance with your clinical registration.
Due to recent developments within education, you must be confident to deliver blended learning and utilise online systems (for example MS Teams/virtual learning environments) to deliver taught content/sessions. You must also commit to developing blended content and support your team towards these competencies.
