Job summary

An exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician based at Gorse Hill Workshop, Gorse Hill Ambulance Station Leicester has become available. The post holder will work alongside an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician/Mentor within the workshop to have practical learning of the principles of maintenance and repair of vehicles whilst attending college on required days.

Main duties of the job

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with good hand eye coordination, the candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated to learn and have a real interest in motor mechanics.

About us

You will be working within the Fleet Services department Leicester we have a close team of 7 Mechanics and 3 Workshop Team Leaders, who are supported by a Parts Specialist. We work alongside a small Make Ready Team and AST Team which clean and ensure the vehicles are ready for use. We have 2 drivers and a domestic cleaner. We are a friendly hard working team.

There are 2 other workshops within the trust. One at Northampton and a big workshop at Alfreton and a small team of mobile Technicians who work within the Lincolnshire division.
