This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the EMAS Clinical Audit and Research Unit (CARU) supporting pre-hospital care research.
The Trust has celebrated an impactful and successful research output over recent years, demonstrated by a significant growth in academic partners, number of research studies supported and participants recruited to research.
As one of the leading research teams in UK Pre-hospital, the Trust is not only well placed to deliver the highest quality research in collaboration with academic and NHS partners, but increasingly to develop a strategy to design and lead research studies from within the ambulance sector. The role will be to support the current research team, in the delivery of our current research programme, including but not exclusively
We anticipate that several new interventional trials will be rolled out within the Trust during 2023/24 and beyond, including data management and trials of investigative medicines.
Main duties of the job
You will ensure that all studies are conducted in accordance with the study protocols and contracts as well as relevant legislation and national guidance. The post will require liaison with Trust Operational Staff and Management teams, the Clinical Audit & Research Team as well as partner universities and the other participating ambulance Trusts.
You will be a HCPC registered Paramedic or UK registered healthcare professional, with more than 2 years post qualification experience. You will have an interest in pre-hospital research and a wish to shape the care provided to patients in the future.
About us
You will be required to work predominately from home and you will be provided with the IT equipment required for the post. You will be required to have access to your own transport in order to travel within the ambulance service region and on occasion, outside the region.
This role does not attract an unsocial hour's payment.
