Job summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide clinical leadership to promote consistent quality and best practice on the wards and within Heather Close rehabilitation Service, The post holder will be a resource to the Occupational therapists as well as the MDT and colleagues in clinical leadership and Governance, and to align closely with Discharge coordinators to develop robust person centred Recovery focussed pathways into the community.
Main duties of the job
To work with the Head of Occupational Therapy to lead on the planning, coordination and delivery of Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions within the Lewisham Directorate.
To provide Leadership and support to the MDT to encourage therapeutic outcomes via the use of Activity and development of an integrated Therapeutic programme
To have clinical input through group work or individual complex cases and Use evidence based / client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate occupationally focused interventions for adults within the acute or rehabilitation service.
