We are inviting applications from enthusiastic Specialist Psychologist/Psychological Therapist/Psychotherapist/Arts Therapist/Family and Systemic Therapists for a Band 7 post with the ARFID Team, as part of our eating disorders service for children and young people. Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide a specialist service including assessment, treatment, monitoring of outcomes and the provision of clinical supervision, consultation and training. The post holder will also contribute to service evaluation, research and policy development. There are many opportunities available within the service in relation to continued professional development.
Key responsibilities:o To provide specialist psychotherapeutic/ clinical intervention services to the MCCAED ARFID team including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.o To contribute to enabling other staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment.o To provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate, functioning as a specialist in eating disorders in children and young people.o To work as an autonomous professional within BPS, HCPC and other professional guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by the policies and procedures of the service, taking responsibility for own work including treatment and discharge decisions with support of clinical supervisor.

- Entry-level qualification in applied psychological therapy and demonstrable practice in this field (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level/supervised practice/additional training) that has been accepted for the purposes of professional registration. (A/I)
- To have undertaken a recognised qualification in one of the core mental health professions, e.g. psychiatric nursing, clinical psychology, medicine, social work and occupational therapy OR to have equivalent relevant experience and demonstrable competence to work in the mental health field in the NHS.
- Registered with professional body as appropriate to discipline HCPC/UKCP/BABCP
