This specialist role is central to delivering high-quality psychological care to children, young people, and families who require intensive support beyond the scope of community CAMHS.
The postholder will provide expert psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for young people aged 12-18 accessing our service. You will work autonomously within professional guidelines while contributing to a collaborative, psychologically safe environment where staff, service users, and carers can thrive.

This will include individual and group sessions, for young people and parents, as well as contributing to risk management, care plans and managing caseloads. You will also be responsible for the supervision of junior psychologists (including youth intensive psychological practitioners and trainee psychologists). You will also contribute to the effective working of the team and to a psychologically informed framework for the service.
About us
We are committed to get the very best out of our staff and support staff in their career aspirations. We have career pathways available, where you will be able to develop your skills and build on your experience to progress into other roles across different specialties. In addition, we offer ongoing training and development for example in DBT and other relevant therapeutic approaches, as well as opportunities to pursue relevant research interests.
As one of the few Trusts in London we are proud to offer flexible working as part of our new ways of working, and we are happy to talk flexible working at the interview stage. In this role you will mostly be expected to work Monday to Friday in the time frames from 9 to 5, however there may be a request to work one evening to facilitate a parent group.
You would be joining a committed and highly experienced multi-disciplinary team, with a focus on continuing service improvement and supporting the young people to reach their potential.
