We are excited to be recruiting to opportunities to come and work with us as Healthcare Support Workers across our units; CAMHS PICU and the Bethlem Adolescent Unit based on the Bethlem site, and the Tyson East 2 unit, currently based on the Bethlem site (will move to the Maudsley site, date to be confirmed).

We are looking for individuals who are kind and caring with a genuine desire to help and support our young people and their families. If this sounds like you, then you already have the skills that make a great Healthcare Support Worker.

Those who are new to care are invited to apply for Band 2 positions and will be offered the Care Certificate training as part of our investment in your training and development.

Those who have experience and a Care Certificate from the NHS* will be eligible to apply for the band 3 role of Senior Healthcare Support Worker.

*non NHS Care Certificates will be considered with the requirement to complete some additional competencies before commencing on a band 3.

Working under the direct supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse/ Senior Health Care Support Worker/ Assistant Practitioner/Nurse Associate to support the delivery of quality nursing care, contributing to the physical, psychological, social, recreational and spiritual care in a recovery focused way through therapeutic engagement and activities, and taking steps to address any issues that arise.

This role will require the postholder to provide hands on care in the prevention, management, and de-escalation of violence in in-patient settings, using approved techniques. The postholder(s) will be required to undertake Seni Lewis training (and assessment to be deemed competent) to obtain the required skills in the prevention, management and de-escalation of violence.
