Job summary
To be professionally and technically responsible for estates maintenance issues (engineering and building).
To understand, plan and organize the complex activities; and programme the general working of the hospitals Estates Department, so that work can be carried out in the most efficient manner.
To manage the ordering and procurement of supplies/suppliers ensuring best value at all times, in accordance with Trust Standing Financial Instructions.
To manage all designated Maintenance Staff within the Estates department.
Action and validate timesheets, call-out sheets, holiday request forms and general personnel issues.
Manage and monitor all maintenance contracts.
Manage and monitor contractors required for ad-hoc call-outs and minor refurbishment work.
