Band 3 Perinatal MH Administrator

Job summary

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate administrator to join a newly developed service which forms part of the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The aims of the service are to support the delivery of trauma-informed care in maternity settings and increase access to psychological therapies for people who are experiencing mental health difficulties arising from, or related to, the maternity experience (e.g., in the context of childbirth or when there is the loss of a baby).

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

o To support the multidisciplinary members of the Helix service by providing administration that is efficient, timely, effective and well organised.

o To prioritise your own workload and use initiative when dealing with queries from health professionals and members of the public, promoting the professional and caring image of the service.

o Respond to incoming inquiries by phone and email.

o Receive and greet service users and visitors in an efficient, calm and courteous manner; reassuring service users who can be distressed and confused, or seeking assistance.

o Registering new referrals onto the patient information system.

o Arrange clinical appointments as necessary - To be the point of contact for appointments, keeping clear records of appointments made.

o To organise and coordinate meetings with some minute taking.

o Assisting with the collating and processing of feedback forms.

o Ordering office supplies and dealing with supplies deliveries.

o Managing office space.

o To report any maintenance issues that may arise in the clinic and office areas.

o To work in a flexible and open manner in line with the needs of the service and attend regular supervision meetings.

oTo undertake any other duties considered relevant by the management of the service that is appropriate to the banding of this post, as negotiated with the Team Leader.
