We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Coordinator to join the Strategic Planning and Equalities team for the last few months of the Patient and Carer Stories Project.
This project has been coproduced with service users and carers over the last few years, testing out new ways of collecting information on service user and carer experiences. The project is due to end in January 2026, and we need a Project Coordinator to support the final stages of delivery and evaluation.

Main duties of the job
As the project is coming to its final stages, some of what is in the original job description is no longer relevant. We have highlighted here what we see as the key activities and requirements for the remaining period.
The Project Coordinator (Qualitative Measures) will be responsible for day to day delivery of the Patient and Carer Stories Project. They will report to the Engagement and Stakeholder Manager and work closely with the Patient Stories Analyst.
As part of a smallteam they will coordinate activities related to the successful implementation of the project, ensuring that people's stories can make an impact. They will also support evaluation and look at how learning from the project can be shared.

Location
The main base for this role is at Trust headquarters - located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2). You will need to be able to work face to face and travel to different locations in the areas the Trust serves, for example to promote the project or meet with story collectors.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supporting up to 20 service users and carers who collect the qualitative information as part of this project. These service users and carers are referred to as Story Collectors.
We are looking someone who can establish and develop relationships with service users and carers quickly and sensitively, is able to coordinate project work under minimum supervision, and who is also proactive and can contribute to activities to bring the project to its completion.
Key activities October 2025 January 2026:

Organise story collection either by linking directly with service users and carers or by coordinating meetings with Story Collectors. This will includecoordinate bookings of rooms and face to face meetings.

Continue targeted engagement work with specific seldom heard groups to ensure that they can share their experiences.

Support the administration of the Patient and Carer Stories Steering Group meetings including taking minutes and maintaining associated records for a variety of workstreams, e.g. attendees lists, feedback and action logs
The post holder must be committed to treat service users, carers and staff with respect and dignity at all times. Having a personable manner and the ability to deal sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
While lived experience of mental health services is listed as an essential requirement in the person specification, there is flexibility on this due to the stage of the project. Personal insight into mental health service provision would be advantageous.
