Job summary

The Lambeth Directorate is recruiting to the post of General Manager, Acute & Urgent Care Pathway. If you want to work in an exciting and evolving service then this is the post for you. Main duties of the job

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the professional heads and the leadership team to provide demonstrable assurance that the quality of the clinical services including patient safety, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes meet the required high standards. This will include investigations into serious incidents, complaints, and staffing issues, appraisal, supervision and training of staff, compliance with mandatory reporting, and assurance that the environment is fit for purpose.

Working closely with the Operations Directorate Deputy Director and other professionals, develop a clear integrated care pathway with effective evidence-based interventions. To review the effectiveness of the pathway and use lean thinking to eliminate waste, ceasing interventions that are no longer effective and increasing those that are. Responsible for writing business cases and leading staff and stakeholder consultants as required. To demonstrate cost-effectiveness and to measure outcomes against care pathways standards. Also to provide demonstrable assurance that there is a systematic engagement of service users and carers throughout the process.
