Job summary
The post-holder will confident in working professionally with the public and be responsible for the provision of high-quality administrative support for a busy reception area. With colleagues, they will support the team as they take ownership of the area whilst carrying out administrative task.They will promote the professional and caring image of the Trust as they prioritise their workload and use their training and initiative when dealing with queries from clients, health professionals and members of the public.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be required to have excellent communication skills and telephone manner with the ability to multi task and prioritise workload.
Duties include answering calls in a polite and timely manner and signposting those necessary.
Communicate with colleagues via Phone, email, Microsoft Teams. Processing incoming mail. Prompt and accurate data entry.
Formatting and sending letters and other administrative task using Microsoft Software.
Attention to detail with good literacy skills are required as the successful applicant will support other administrators within the team in producing standard letters and assisting in entering referrals onto our Electronic Patient Journey System (ePJS) - experience in using ePJS is an advantage, but not essential, as training will be provided.
