Job summary
Are you an excellent communicator who enjoys working with people? We are looking for an Engagement Support Officer to join the Strategic Planning and Equalities team. This is a varied and busy role which combines communication and engagement activities with admin duties to support our Trust's strategic priorities.
You will play a key role this year in running a wide range of engagement activities with service users, carers and community members as we refresh our 5 year Trust Strategy. You will also work with service users, carers, community members and staff on the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) and Trust Anti-Racism action plan.
We are looking for someone with experience of designing engaging content in different formats, as well as strong administrative experience and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.

Main duties of the job
Engagement duties
- Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF).
- Build relationships with community members, patients, carers and colleagues and support them to participate in engagement activities
- Design and support delivery of engagement events and promotional campaigns for staff groups, community members and service users and carers
Website/intranet/digital and social media communication
- Manage internal communications and engagement for agreed programmes
- Design programme content that is exciting, relevant and engaging for all stakeholders and audiences, such as posters, leaflets and videos
Administrative duties
- Monitor and respond to email and other digital enquiries
- Support the administration of meetings including taking minutes and maintaining associated records for a variety of workstreams, e.g. attendees lists, feedback and action logs
- Develop and maintain mailing lists with accuracy and in line with data protection requirements

This role is based at Maudsley Hospital
Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2) and is within walking distance from the beautiful green spaces of Ruskin park and the vibrant high-street that offers great shopping opportunities and with a wide range restaurants.
