The Croydon CAMHS Children's Wellbeing Service (CWP) is an early intervention service designed to help meet the mental health needs of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
This exciting new post has been created in response to the need for improving access to Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYP-MHS) through improved identification of need, assessment and linking pathways together.
The post holder will have the exciting opportunity to be part of the Croydon GP pilot, a multi-agency initiative that aims to improve access for children and young people (CYP) to mental health and wellbeing support by improving earlier identification of need through assessment and linking pathways together. The post holder will be a part of the Croydon CWP service - a friendly and supportive team, co-located with Croydon CAMHS.
Main duties of the job
This new exciting role requires you to work flexibly between the 2 sites as required:
Within the GP service, you will be leading and supporting the development of the GP Youth clinic, alongside the CWP service lead, with the aim of bridging the gap between Primary Care and CAMHS, as well as promoting partnership working and communication.
Within the CWP service, the post holder will work support with general service and staff development and delivery and be responsible for supporting CWPs, and trainees, as well as playing an important role in managing the delivery of the CWP Service.
The successful applicant will be required to have either successfully completed or be eligible to complete the funded Post Graduate CYP supervisor course at Kings College London (KCL).

- Must have practice in CBT delivery for 2 yrs. in MH settings
