Job summary
The post holder will provide a robust data management and integration service to ensure that the provides accurate and timely information to the Trust via its reporting systems. As part of the data management strategy of the organisation, the post holder will be required to develop and maintain data integration pipelines which capture data from source systems and deliver it to the data warehouse and reporting solution. The Digital Services team utilise the Microsoft Azure platform.

Main duties of the job
- Define, develop, test and implement data flows which will routinely capture data from a variety of disparate data sources to update the data warehouse.
- Work with data modellers, report developers and business managers to develop data flows which will populate data models designed to deliver business value.
- Ensuring that all development work conforms the Trust Data Quality Assurance Framework ensuring that full documentation is available for audit and routine monitoring.
- Ensure that all developed data flows have error handling and detailed logging implemented to identify potential systems issues and ensure that user accessible data is not adversely affected.
- Participate or lead projects aligned to key organisational objectives of the Trust. This may require the assessment of different development options and recommendations to support those objectives.
- Develop mechanisms to automatically fetch and validate data from external and national resources, including GP, address, processed data and national benchmark details.

The informatics team is split into two areas, data delivery and requirements & engagement. These teams work together to deliver against our service model to the organisation.
We work in an environment of collaboration, and whilst we endeavour to deliver information in a right the first-time environment, we have also created the space for teams and individuals to test out new technologies or interest projects within ring-fenced time - often in collaboration with external consultancies who support and encourage learning within the team.
About the location:
The Digital Services Informatics team is based at Jeanette Wallace House, in-between Bromley and Croydon (CR0 1FE)
Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2). We also provide services and operate across other locations, such as London boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; and substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Lambeth, Greenwich and Wandsworth
