Job summary
We are currently looking for a positive, proactive, experienced RMN/RLDN to join our team on Rosa parks ward. Rosa Parks Ward is an 18 bedded male acute ward, which embraces a recovery approach in delivering high quality acute inpatient care. The ward is a key inpatient service within the Acute Care Pathway, situated in Oak House, Lambeth Hospital. Rosa Parks is spacious and well laid out to promote patient safety and positive interactions between staff and patients.
The multi-disciplinary team is dynamic and diverse, including RMNs, CSWs, an OT, doctors and an experienced consultant who work closely to support patients on their recovery journey. Patients also have access to a psychology and art therapy while on the ward.
Working as part of the clinical team the post holder will make appropriate use of the latest evidence-based practice to deliver person centred care across all inpatient wards. The post holder with be part of the Quality Improvement ethos to work with the team to continually improve the service to enable the best possible patient outcomes.
Main duties of the job
To oversee the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of caregiven to a group of service users, and ensure records associated with thisprocess are maintained. The post holder will also act as a named nurse or inpatient care coordinator. This may include the co-ordination of care ofservice users liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team wherenecessary. The post holder will carry out nursing procedures to a standardthat ensures safe and effective care, and complies with The Nursing andMidwifery Council's Code of Professional Conduct. The post holder willclinically supervise and appraise junior staff and students.There will be an expectation that the post holder will facilitate userinvolvement in all aspects of service delivery.
