We are delighted to be recruiting for Registered Mental Health Nurses to work on Evans inpatient ward in the Lewisham Hospital, Ladywell Unit, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Evans ward is a new 15 bedded male acute inpatient unit that is being opened in the Ladywell Unit. You will be able to develop your clinical skills and experience working with varied and complex mental health presentations within multi-disciplinary teams.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will deliver high quality safe nursing care, ensuring

consistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence which comply with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of professional conduct.

You will provide care for presenting service users from initial contact and assessment, formulating and delivering care plans, and evaluation of care. You will assess the risks and needs of service users to plan and evaluate care using a collaborative approach with service users and their carers. Providing accurate information about care in an accessible format to patients and their relatives

The post holder will co-ordinate a first-class service that includes assessment and monitoring of physical health, maintaining service users rights, supervising junior staff and students, working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and maintaining a safe and therapeutic working environment and accurate records.
