Job summary
CAMHS Clinincal Specialist - Crisis Team role is suitable for Registered Nurses/Social Workers/ Occupational Therapist or equivalent who have experience in CAMHS or risk assessment work.
They are expected to form a close working relationship with peers, Clinical Service Lead and other professionals.
The post holder will deliver, or advise on the delivery of, high quality safe nursing care, ensuring consistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence which comply with the Trust and their registering body. You will be a positive role model to other members of the team through the practice of evidence-based care. You will be expected to support professional development through clinical appraisal and supervision.

Screening of referrals
Carrying out mental health crisis assessments independently
Assessing and managing risk
Working collaboratively with the team and allied health professionals within the network including Primary Health Care, Social Care and educational establishments.

To co-ordinate and deliver discharge planning and follow up appointments alongside CAMHS colleagues of individualised care for adolescents and their families and evaluate these programmes, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with national guidelines and Trust policy.
To develop and maintain appropriate relationships with young people and their families/carers.
To work as part of the young persons professional network, keeping them
informed of developments, changes in risk status and promoting multi-agency
collaboration. Liaising with Childrens Specialist Services, educational
services, independent sector mental health providers, Social Care and
counsellors and any other professional related to the childcare.
To involve the young person, and as appropriate, their families/carers in
