Job summary
Our Healthier South East London (OHSEL) Integrated Care System (ICS) has been awarded £3.2 million between October 2021 and September 2024 by NHS England and Improvement to establish an ICS wide community multi-systems violence reduction programme (the South East London Vanguard), one of only three pilot sites in London. The SEL Vanguard programme brings together mental health and voluntary sector providers and local authorities and aims to support vulnerable children and young people affected by serious violence.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Practitioner Psychologist to join the SEL Vanguard programme. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a responsive community service for young people aged 0-25. The successful candidate will have opportunities to provide specialist consultation, supervision, assessment and intervention. This is a fixed term post for the length of the programme, which is currently funded for two years till September 2025.
Main duties of the job
To work closely with all partner agencies on the development and delivery of the CMSVRP Vanguard for South East London
To provide clinical input for the clinical hub for the SEL Vanguard
To deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention to young people affected by serious youth violence
To provide regular supervision, complex case formulation and reflective practice for case managers and other staff
About us
The successful candidate will join the multiagency network currently developing the SEL Vanguard in South East London. You will be involved in the development and delivery of the clinical hub. We envisage this being a multidisciplinary team of professionals who are committed to working with young people affected by serious youth violence in our communities. The hub will be hosted by the Adolescent At-risk & Forensic Service (AAFS), National & Specialist CAMHS, and there will be opportunities for some joint working and professional development.
