Job summary
This Patient and Public Involvement Lead (PPI) role covers the boroughs of Lewisham and Croydon. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual, but most importantly someone with a passion to ensure service users and carers are at the centre of what we do, that their voices are not only heard but are an integral part of our day to day working, developing services and supporting our teams to provide outstanding care. The role requires strong compassionate leadership, working closely with staff, service users and families/ carers.
You will we working with the Senior Leadership Teams in both boroughs to embed our service user and carer's voices in all that we do.
There will be strong connections with our trust PPI leads, and the wider patient experience and inclusion team ensuring the Lewisham and Croydon PPI involvement is represented in trust wide events and developments.
Main duties of the job
Service Users and Carer Involvement.
- To implement the Trust Service User Involvement strategy, develop a local Involvement and Engagement strategy for the Directorates and oversee its implementation.
- To develop systems whereby service users and carers can be involved in the ongoing development of the Directorates.
- To develop a variety of modes of involvement suitable for a range of service users and carers, and develop, coordinate and deliver training to service users and carers and staff as required.
- To develop opportunities for paid involvement for service users and carers within the work of the Directorates via the Involvement Register on an ongoing basis.
