Job summary
We invite applications from excellent clinical psychologists with a specific interest in neurorehabilitation to join the lead clinical neuropsychologist in providing specialist expertise within the inpatient MDTs at Hillingdon Hospital's Alderbourne and Daniel's Units.

We will consider applications from early-career qualified psychologists (Band 7) who demonstrate high potential and a strong interest in developing their career in clinical neuropsychology within a supportive and structured learning environment. Upon satisfactory completion of an agreed set of target competencies, the post-holder will be eligible for progression to a Band 8a position. We anticipate that this development will be achieved within 2-4 years, depending on the applicant's initial level of knowledge and experience. If the applicant is unable to complete the required competencies, they will remain at Band 7.

Main duties of the job
To work under the leadership of the clinical lead neuropsychologist to provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service embedded within the inpatient neurorehabilitation MDTs at Hillingdon Hospital (Alderbourne and/or Daniel's), including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.
To provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate within the MDT, functioning as a specialist in neuropsychological aspects of neurorehabilitation.
About us
This role is supported by 1-1 clinical supervision by the lead clinical neuropsychologist, the established unit MDTs, the widerDepartment of Health Psychology at Hillingdon Hospital, the community of practice of neuropsychologists in NWL and the CNWL Psychological Professionals network.
We have previously been successful in bids to NHSE for full QiCN funding in similar roles, and we intend to fully support the postholder to bid for this funding (if NHSE funding continues to be available) and with study leave and supervision needed to complete this high-level training, as part of a structured development plan.
