Job summary
This is a fixed term part-time (7PA) post for a CAMHS Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within the CYP Eating Disorders Community Team.
The post holder will work alongside a Consultant Psychiatrist in Eating Disorders, and a specialist and experienced MDT. The post provides an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and experience in the assessment and management of eating disorders across the full spectrum of diagnoses and severity, and the in delivery of specialist psychological therapies for eating disorders in children and young people.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide psychiatric and medical assessment and management of children and young people with eating disorders receiving care in the CYP outpatient Eating Disorder Service. They will contribute to clinical assessment for new referrals and undertake physical examinations and order investigations as required. There will be opportunities to be trained in relevant therapy models available and to have a small caseload of patients for whom they will be co-lead therapy/case manage depending on clinical skills and interest. The post-holder will finally provide liaison input to paediatric/medical wards according to MEED guidelines.
