Job responsibilities

Clinical

To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of work undertaken.

To work within the standards and guidelines of the trust, the team, professional services and professional body.

To undertake hollistic assessment of patients, including those with complex medical and social backgrounds

To use advanced clinical reasoning and analytical skills to provide an accurate diagnosis and/or prognosis of their condition.

To formulate, deliver and evaluate individual physiotherapy treatment programmes based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using advanced clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills.

Education & Qualifications

Essential

• Registration with HCPC as an Physiotherapist
• Degree/ Diploma Physiotherapy
• Post Registration courses e.g. ? Neurology ? Older people/elderly rehab ? Goal setting ? Student Placement Educator

Desirable

• Member of CSP
• Post Graduate MSc Degree
• Membership and/or involvement in a CSP professional network

Previous Experience

Essential

• Previous experience of working in the UK or a similar health economy as a physiotherapist.
• Previous general experience to include the following: ? Community working ? Older people/elderly rehab ? Medicine & general surgery ? Orthopaedics ? Falls ? Pain Management ? Neurology ? Dementia ? Respiratory ? Group work
• Experience of teaching students/ juniors & assistants
• Experience of completion of audit and service developments

Desirable

• Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner in a community setting
