Divisional Head of Performance & Information

Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Head of Performance & Information who is highly motivated, experienced and business-focused to lead, develop and enhance a coherent strategy for the Information and Performance teams' reporting.

The post holder will work closely with the Division's Associate Director of Finance, Performance and Contracts and the Trust's Associate Director for Information and Business Intelligence to ensure that the performance reporting for the Division fulfils statutory, regulatory and management reporting requirements.

Main duties of the job

To lead on the provision of data from the clinical system to support quality improvement, clinical audits, transformation initiatives or business case development or any other requirements for data within the Division. To work with relevant stakeholders to understand information requirements; advise, interpret and develop definitions and deliver solutions.

To provide subject matter expertise across the Division on the use of statistical and data analysis tools, techniques and best practice. Leading the development of an expert information and analytical service that integrates teams and supports a timely and accurate evidence-based approach to decision making and performance management to support the business of the Division.

To develop the analyses and business insights into the services within the Division, establishing a robust analytical and insight function to inform efficiency and cost improvement initiatives.

To work with the Assistant Director for Performance and Information to develop the Trust's Business Intelligence and reporting solution, supporting and promoting the implementation of self-service analytics and data-driven decision making.

To work with the Assistant Director for Performance and Information to develop the Trusts data strategy ensuring that all key activity and performance reporting is delivered to a high standard and taking the lead to resolve any gaps in data collection, data quality and reporting, leading on the implementation and continuous improvement across the Division.

To represent the Division in supporting the development and implementation of intelligent analytics models around key Trust and Divisional areas like demand & capacity planning and forecasting.

To use their expert skill and knowledge of healthcare data and systems, bridging the divide between the operational management teams need for intelligence and the vast array of data that when processed and analysed appropriately becomes valuable, relevant information.
