Job summary

A exciting opportunity to manage a well developed Mental Health Team in Hillingdon. The successful candidate will manage the day to day workings of Home Treatment Team and Hillingdon

You will need to be a registered Health or social care professional with significant experience at band 7 or above to be eligible to apply for this opportunity, with recent relevant experience in crisis care.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and development, be an effective role model, self-motivated with the commitment, drive and adaptability to thrive in this demanding post.

You will possess excellent communication skills, be visible and accessible with quality and high standards at the core of your professional profile. You will need to be flexible and resilient in order to cope with the demands of the role. In addition, you must be able to influence and negotiate in order to improve the service your team provides for their patients. Evidence of continuing professional development is essential. You will work closely with the full range of the multi-disciplinary teams in Psychiatric Liaison , Inpatient services, Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service and Community services.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Multi disciplinary teams of both the Riverside Centre and Hillingdon Acute Hospital. They will manage staff and act also as a clinical lead, also linking in with the community teams.

Financial and physical resources You will be expected to:

  • Oversee the management of resources and supplies for the ward in accordance with budgetary limits and constraints, including staffing levels, annual leave, allocation and stock reviews
  • Finalise duty rotas ensuring that appropriate for maximum service delivery, standards of patient care and human resources management in accordance with policy and guidance.
  • Contribute to regular analytical reviews of establishment and skill mix to ensure appropriateness for clinical demands and case mix in order to provide a safe environment for both patients and staff. Ensure that all staff members follow Trust and NMC guidelines regarding the ordering, safe custody, use and recording of administration of medications.
