Job summary

Collingham CAMHS is a CNWL NHS inpatient care team providing mental and emotional health services to children under the age of 13 their families and carers.

We are a team of specialist clinicians, therapists and nurses. We provide specialist services to those who are experiencing and need help with thoughts feelings, difficult experiences, emotional, relationship and behavioural difficulties in family life, school or the wider world. These include bullying, eating difficulties, family issues, anger, sadness, worry, finding it hard to concentrate or sit still, trouble with friends, unusual thoughts and more.

The post holder will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality clerical support to Collingham Child and Family Centre. This will require processing all referrals and supporting the supporting clinical, nursing, and multi-disciplinary teams in delivering safe, compassionate care to children and adolescents and working with families/carers.

Main duties of the job

Managing the Excel databases, clinical systems and assisting with clinical audit and monitoring is an important part of this role. The role will also include acting as a key coordinator of non-clinical ward processes, ensuring efficient flow of information, accurate records, timely correspondence, and smooth management of admissions, discharges, leave, and transfers. The postholder plays a key role in maintaining robust record management, supporting safeguarding procedures, and coordinating responses to information requests, including Subject Access Requests (SARs).

Part of your role will be assisting the Consultant Psychiatrist in his/her clerical and managerial duties. This will involve a high level of discretion and confidentiality as you will come into contact with some sensitive patient and staff data and information.

  • NVQ 3 in Business Administration or evidence of equivalent practical experience.
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
