Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director (ICT)

The closing date is 21 January 2026

Job summary

Consultant Psychiatrist & Clinical Director One clinical role, two options. We are looking for a consultant to join our Vincent Square Adult Eating Disorders Intensive Community Treatment & Day Patient Services Team

The role is a part-time 6PA clinical post, but for those looking for the next step in their career there is the option of adding the 4PA Clinical Director of the Eating Disorders Service to the clinical post.

The clinical role with the Intensive Community Treatment (ICT) and Day Programme, the role caters for patients who need more intensive input than outpatient therapy alone, but less intensive than inpatient.

Intensive community treatment has been developed over recent years to provide a community alternative to day patient and inpatient treatment. It has been designed as an adjunct to outpatient treatment, providing brief intensive focus on behaviour change to support medical stabilization and weight, in order to avoid admission.

The day patient service offers a specialist multidisciplinary approach, delivering individualised care and treatment, with well-integrated pathways for transition with inpatient and outpatient/community services. The mainstay of treatment is the therapeutic group program and therapeutic milieu supporting change in eating disorder behaviours and maintenance factors.
