The closing date is 07 December 2025

Job summary

Band 4 Nursing Associates - Women's Health Hubs, HMP Send, HMP Downview and HMP Bronzefield

About the role

We are seeking motivated and compassionate Band 4 Nursing Associates to join our new Women's Health Hubs (WHH) based within our female surrey prisons. These nurse-led hubs are being developed to provide accessible, trauma-informed and patient-centred care to women in custody, addressing a broad spectrum of women's health needs.

Women in prison often face complex physical and mental health challenges, including higher rates of trauma, self-harm, substance misuse, and reproductive health issues. Young adults and marginalised groups are particularly affected by gaps in consistent health education and support. As part of the WHH team, you will play a crucial role in helping to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes for this population.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for Nursing Associates who are:

    • Qualified and registered with the NMC as a Nursing Associate
    • Passionate about women's health and reducing health inequalities
    • Able to work within a trauma-informed and person-centred framework
    • Skilled at engaging with women from diverse backgrounds, including those with complex health and social needs
    • Confident in delivering health promotion and education sessions
    • Flexible, compassionate, and committed to teamwork in a challenging environment

About us

  • The opportunity to be part of an innovative, nurse-led service designed to improve health outcomes for women in prison
  • Supportive team environment with access to supervision and professional development and training through our clinical leadership career pathway
  • A chance to make a real difference to women in custody
