We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Psychologist to join our OPD services at HMP High Down which include a specialist residential Psychologically Informed Planned Environment (PIPE) unit for men with learning disabilities and an Outreach service to men on main location.
We are seeking a compassionate & enthusiastic psychologist with an interest and skills in team working, personality disorder and neurodiversity.

This is a London Pathways Partnership (LPP) service, with CNWL as the lead provider. LPP is a consortium of 5 NHS Trusts working in partnership to deliver a network of services to complex and high-risk service users in London & the Southeast.
Main duties of the job
- To work with the team to support men with personality disorder and learning disability residing on the PIPE and with men in prison presenting with complex & challenging needs as part of the outreach service
- To develop and support psychological formulations that enhance staff's ability to support the men in their sentence progression
- To provide psychologically informed care and interventions to service users of the OPD services
- To provide training and participate in audit and research that aims to improve the service
- To supervise Assistant and Trainee psychologists and prison officers

- To work as a member of the clinical/service/team, providing a high quality, specialist applied psychology service to clients, their families or carers. To support psychological practice within the team through consultation, supervision, formulation and training.
- To participate in systemic clinical governance. To offer clinical supervision to assistant, trainee and more junior psychologists and other staff. To utilise research skills for audit service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

Essential
- Doctoral level training in clinical, forensic or counselling psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology, equivalent to that accredited by the BPS
- HCPC Registered as a practitioner psychologist
- Evidence of post-qualification specialist training, experience and developing expertise in a specialist area of clinical practice relevant to this role.
Desirable
- oPre- or Post-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology.
