The closing date is 30 June 2025

Job summary

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic Band 7 nurse or paramedic to join our Consultant led Virtual Ward team.

The Virtual Ward is a new and innovative integrated service with the aim to support patients to receive the care they need at home, rather than in hospital. There is growing evidence that demonstrates patient, system and public benefits to the Virtual ward model.

Patients are admitted to the Virtual Ward as a form of early discharge from the local acute trusts while still under the care of a Consultant. This service offers a mix of conditions but will include patients requiring IV medication; Daily observations; Delirium care; At home suctioning support (Yankeur); and as the service grows, the presenting complaints accepted into the service will increase.
