Job summary

Camden Rapid Access Services is a Physical health admission avoidance service. Potential post holders should ideally possess a valid UK Driving licence (a car will be provided when required), though suitable non-driving candidates will be considered and provided with an Oyster card while on shift. Non-driving practitioners will be expected to be able to undertake the same number of visits per day as driving colleagues.

Are you a Registered Nurse or Paramedic seeking a new challenging role in the community? The Camden Rapid Access Services (Camden RAS) is currently seeking to employ a Band 6 Registered Nurse or Paramedic with substantial experience in acute care (e.g. A&E, AMU, ITU, Paramedic).The ideal candidate will be confident in top-to-toe examination and succinct history taking.

Camden RAS covers the entire borough of Camden, this role is predominantly for Urgent Community Response however you maybe asked to cross cover the Virtual ward on occasion. Our overall aim is to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions, as part of the NHS Long term plan. Main duties of the job

Shifts

The shift times are 09:00 to 19:00 for an early shift, 12:00 to 22:00 for a late shift and 09:00 to 22:00 for a long day, there is also 08:00 starts and the shift end time will be adjusted (6pm for an early shift and 9pm for a long day)

Lone Working

Please be aware, this position regularly includes working alone in patients homes/in the community. This will also include evening hours when it is dark. Please be assured we have safety systems in place and have an excellent safety record.

Its a big team of clinicians, all striving for the best outcomes for our service users and their families.
