Main duties of the job
To monitor and co-ordinate the care of clients on anti-dementia medication, and manage a caseload of clients referred to the memory services. To collect and analyse data and produce timely reports. To act as a specialist resource for those coping with a diagnosis of dementia and to work with other team members to effect the best possible care and support systems for both users and carers of dementia services locally, In addition supporting group sessions CST and liaising with other services where joint up working is required. You will also be involved in delivering diagnosis to patients on your case load.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Relevant Mental health professional qualification (RMN) NMC, ENB 998 or equivalent
Desirable
- Degree in health related subject
- Registered Nurse Prescriber.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Post qualifying experience
- Post qualifying experience within the speciality at Band 5 or above. Experience to include teaching/training, basic counselling skills, some standard setting and appraisal systems.
- Experience of organic mental illness
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES
Essential
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff. Implement new ideas and develop service
- Able to plan, implement and evaluate across a range of areas as required
- Knowledge of clinical and managerial issues relating to mental health, older peoples' services and NHS developments.
- Knowledge of and experience of working with the Mental Health and Mental Capacity Act, Clinical Governance, CPA, SAP etc.
