An excellent opportunity has arisen with Ealing Community Partners, for a band 6 Pulmonary rehabilitation physiotherapist to join our award winning and PRSAS accredited pulmonary rehab service. This post is a Fixed term/ Secondment full time role.
This exciting post will involve working in community out patient sites to support group rehab. The team is lead by pulmonary rehab Lead and there is extensive shared learning form MDT Colleagues eg Occupational therapist, HOSAR, Clinical Health Psychologist etc.. The role will cover predominantly Pulmonary Rehab work and will involve small element of community out patient rehab in MSK/ Women's health as required.
There will be opportunity to supervise Junior physiotherapist and rehab assistants.
The Community Rehabilitation team is committed to community transformation to ensure delivery of seamless high quality care. We will support you in developing your clinical experience, as well as supervisory and management skills.
The role is full time and it is desirable to be a car user but not essential. In the future it may be necessary to include weekend working on a rota basis. Home visits may be required on adhoc basis.
Main duties of the job
You will provide specialist Cardio respiratory physiotherapy assessment with a view to safely enrol and lead the group classes.
To undertake education, advice and treatment of patients referred to pulmonary rehab service who have complex health and social care needs with the support of your senior colleagues .The key part is also to deliver group exercise and education session for clients referred for Pulmonary rehab.
To support audits and service projects.
You will travel throughout the borough of Ealing to provide care in both community sites.

- Broad under graduate experience in core clinical areas: MSK/ Respiratory/ Community Therapy/ Neuro/ Care of Elderly
- Significant post-registration working as band 5 or band 6 or equivalent in experience in respiratory
- A good working knowledge of the NHS system of care. (Trained or worked in the NHS)
- Experience of working as MDT and taking group classes
- Awareness of own knowledge and learning style.
- Relevant clinical knowledge base underpinned by broader physiotherapeutic skills
- Awareness of current NHS policies and issues which impact on the profession and the workplace
- Participated some form of audit and evaluation
- Awareness of current issues or developments pertinent to own profession including legal frameworks.
