Job summary
Do you have lived experience of mental distress with use of secondary care mental health services and have you previously worked in a range of settings as a peer support worker, lived experience worker or equivalent role? Are you looking to use this experience to coproduce a Recovery & Wellbeing College Centre of Excellence in London?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Peer Trainer to form part of the Central North West London (CNWL) Recovery College. The role will be supported by the deputy manager/lived experience lead. The post will be based at Argo House, London and will support with the in the co-production of design and delivery, of a range of recovery focussed wellbeing courses and workshops for service users and their supporters and staff.
The post holder will act as an ambassador of recovery for the Trust alongside others, through positively sharing and drawing upon aspects of own lived experience, to inspire others, challenge stigma and discrimination and promote recovery. In this senior role, the post holder will be required to facilitate supervision for peer trainers as well.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the delivery of high quality, educational opportunities, that deliver a range of recovery focussed courses and workshops for service users, their supporters/carers and staff, whilst demonstrating a commitment to ensure co-production, personal recovery principles, inclusion and diversity are retained.
There will be an opportunity to work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to promote, develop and embed the principles of recovery orientated practice across the organisation, as well as developing relationships with partner agencies and local communities.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work flexibility under supervision, to meeting the demands of this exciting and very varied position. Regular clinical and peer supervision will be provided. In this senior role, the post holder will be required to facilitate supervision for peer trainers as well.
