Job summary
As part of the People Operation Team, the post holder will support the day to day usage of the RLDatix Optima suits of systems (Healthroster Optima, Safe care, Loop, Roster Perform and Bank Staff, etc.) by providing technical expertise to resolve frontline user issues swiftly, as well as supporting users with advice and guidance on using the system as well as effective rostering practices. Additionally, they will take on a key role in supporting system deployment and other key projects related to eRostering.
This role requires an ability to engage the Trust clinical workforce to enable understanding and adaptation to the effective use of electronic rostering including bank staffing. Successful candidates will have a full understanding and expert knowledge of roster creation regarding the shift requirements, personal working patterns, shift skill levels required and safe staffing, as well as disseminating roster best practice through the Trust by support Directors, Associates, Service Leads, Matrons, Clinicians and Ward / Service Managers in the production and analysis of effective rosters to ensure achievement of key performance indicators.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support system setup, design, and processes to ensure optimal rostering practices across the Trust. This involves attending meetings, supervising e-Rostering solutions, and overseeing data collection for roster template creation. The role includes working with key staff to gather and input data, scrutinizing existing processes to ensure accurate workforce information, and supporting quality improvement activities.
The post holder will also be responsible for planning, developing, and evaluating methods for data analysis and presentation, and ensuring staff are trained in system usage to meet the Trust's goals. They will design and deliver training programs, revise them as needed, and manage training requirements across the organisation. Additionally, they will embed e-Rostering to ensure appropriate staffing levels, communicate complex systems information, and maintain data confidentiality.
Other duties include troubleshooting e-Rostering issues, providing system advice, collaborating with payroll and temporary staffing teams, ensuring policy compliance, assisting with software upgrades, and maintaining communication links. The role also involves working autonomously, liaising with various departments, providing ad-hoc reporting, delivering training, participating in audits, contributing to policy development, and escalating quality issues. Finally, they are expected to carry out other delegated duties as required.
