Then we would like to invite you to join our dynamic team because an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Data Manager to join the Research Delivery Service at Noclor Joint Research Office, hosted by Central and North West London NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for an assistant psychologist, HCA, or graduate with experience working in a mental health setting to join our team working on a diverse portfolio of research studies across North West London. Our team works across London and the South East, and the successful candidates will promote community health research across the entire locality.

Main duties of the job

Supported by the North West London Clinical Research Network (CRN): this is a chance to gain experience and knowledge of clinical research in the area of mental health.

Main responsibilities will be supporting with data collection and data entry to research studies in Adult Mood & psychosis, Dementia and Older Adults, and CAMHS; monitoring and maintenance of electronic data capture systems (EDC) and site files; managing participants payments; providing administrative support and updating spreadsheets and local databases of clinical trial activity.

There will also be opportunities to be involved in additional clinical tasks, such as screening medical records to identify potential participants, calling service users to invite them to take part in research, triaging queries relating to research from clinicians, and completing virtual psychometric assessments with participants.

Other responsibilities will include ordering research supplies and managing room bookings. The post holder will be expected to develop skills and knowledge relating to the conduct of clinical trials principally for the Mental Health and Dementia trials. The post holder will work within the guidelines of ICH GCP at all times.

The role would suit somebody who has limited research experience, and is looking to develop their research knowledge. Experience of working in mental health services is desirable, but research experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided.

Communication

To attend and contribute to project management group meetings for specific research project To liaise with other Delivery Staff within the Trust & Partner Organisations to ensure the needs of the service are met To provide information and education on research projects adopted by the CRN to interested parties To disseminate information on the CRN to a range of audiences in a variety of format To maintain a working knowledge of relevant practice and to disseminate up to date information, protocol amendments etc. to personnel working on research project To liaise with CRN and academic staff, the wider Trust personnel, and external contact To maintain position of integrity, appreciating the need for confidentiality when dealing with staff and issues appertaining to this position To liaise with a wide range of internal and external organisations and teams in support of the CRN Hub To offer advice and support to research active staff, patients and carers, as appropriate

Training

To keep up to date with relevant training and develop skills and knowledge To participate positively in regular supervision and annual appraisals Comply with the Trusts infection control policies and procedures and undertake the necessary training in Infection Prevention and Control as identified by the Research Delivery Nurse
