Main duties of the job
As a Business Officer of the Brent Borough Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Business Manager in various operational and administrative tasks, including the pro-active co-ordination of committees. You will work closely with the Business Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day business operations and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the organisation.
The role is to provide a comprehensive, effective, and high-quality business admin support to the Brent Borough Team and Brent ICP. This includes:
Assisting with relevant administrative duties as necessary including effective diary
management.
o Arranging and attending meetings, booking venues, drafting agenda, taking and transcribing minutes, sometimes of a complex nature, and distributing all relevant documentation within specified deadlines.
o To undertake work of a confidential nature that must be carried out with maximum discretion and diplomacy in line with the organisation's policy, e.g., personal folders, sickness absence monitoring.
o Assist with monitoring of and compliance regarding mandatory training.

Because we want the roles to be available to people from a range of different professional backgrounds, these roles are being advertised in CNWL and at Brent Council. The roles will be based at Brent Civic Centre in Wembley, and will involve 3 days working in the office per week, with home working available for the other days.

Provide administrative support to the Business Manager, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
Communication:
Serve as a point of contact between different departments and external stakeholders.

The post holder will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, such as senior managers in provider organisations and the ICP Partnership Board.
Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives to provide, information and analytical advice to strategic leads.
Work with members of the Team to develop and implement project data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data.

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
Work with the Business Manager to implement changes and streamline workflows.
Project Coordination:

Undertake projects and oversee their deliver and report on outcomes as agreed with the Business Manager.
Policy Development
Propose changes to own project, service, initiative work, informing policy and making recommendations for more effective delivery.
Contribute to the review and development of existing project information management systems and contribute to the development of an integrated approach to project management.
