Job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Nurse Consultant to join the leadership team at Vincent Square Eating Disorder Service, and work alongside Psychiatry, Psychology, OT, systemic therapists and Lived Experience Practitioner colleagues to deliver service excellence.

The postholder will be the Nurse Consultant for our all-age eating disorder service and will provide strategic leadership and vision for the development of Nursing within the service. In addition to direct clinical work you will offer clinical supervision and development to nurses across the eating disorder service and contribute to the teaching and training of others.

The ideal candidate has all-age skills as applicable to eating disorder treatment in both in-patient and outpatient settings.   • NMC registered RMN, Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent
  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy in London and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
  • Therapy Qualification relevant to Eating Disorders (e.g. CBT -E , CAT, Systemic Psychotherapy)
  • Ability to understand a broad range of complex information quickly and making decisions where opinions differ/no obvious solution
  • Ability to work without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organisation, working to tight and often changing timescales.
  • Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes

  • Extensive ED experience across community and inpatient - an expert in their field.
