Collingham Child and Family Centre is looking for a permanent 1.0 wte or 0.8wte (37.5 hours or 30 hours negotiable) Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist or Family Therapist with extensive CAMHS experience.
The successful candidate will work with a large multi-disciplinary team with a wealth of experience who are providing an essential service to the young people of London and South England. The unit is one of only 6 within England and Wales providing inpatient care to the under 13. This provides an opportunity to be part of a national network and work in partnership with NHS England.
Collingham Child and Family Centre is a QNIC accredited friendly, supportive, and experienced multi-disciplinary specialist mental health inpatient unit for under 13-year-olds.
We offer training and support to enable clinicians to undertake a range of diagnostic and other specialist / adapted assessments, including for ASD, ADHD, OCD, and Trauma. As well as family-focused PBS interventions, we also offer a range of therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic groups, DBT groups, parent sessions, psychoeducation, and hospital-school consultation.

Main duties of the job
This lead role offers an excellent opportunity for an established Band 8b clinical or counselling psychologist/psychotherapist or an experienced Band 8a looking to develop and diversify skills working with children who have complex mental health needs.
For many of the young people we see, we draw on a range of psychological, behavioural and other models and practice guidance appropriate to the client group, including contextual approaches, systemic approaches and neuropsychological approaches.
The key part of this role is to provide clinical leadership to the team and hold a caseload, which will vary, depending on the clinical need and waiting list.

- Provision of specialist assessment and formulation-driven intervention for children and young people who are assessed to have complex mental health needs.
- To work with other professionals and agencies within the region at a strategic level focused on services for children with diverse needs.
- To contribute to and implement policy changes and developments within the area served by the team/service, including the 0-25 SEND code of practice (2016).
