Clinical / Counselling Psychologist in Health

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

We welcome a clinical / counselling psychologist to join our team in providing clinical health psychology input to a range of acute hospital MDTs, and the cancer and palliative care service.

This is an opportunity for psychologists working towards or already in qualified 8a roles, exploring their interest in psychology applied to health, as well as psychologists with experience in other healthcare systems who are currently working towards UK HCPC registration, and can adapt the banding and job title accordingly.

Personal and professional development will be gained through expert and supportive clinical supervision by experienced seniors, bi-monthly clinical team reflective discussions, a psychology-specific free CPD program provided by CNWL, and a personal development goal to complete a quality improvement project.

We recognise that fixed-term roles need additional flexibility, and we welcome discussion with colleagues with a keen interest but unsure about any aspect of this role.

Main duties of the job

Our colleague will join with, learn from and work alongside our team of psychologists and psycho-therapists, based in the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at Hillingdon Hospital.

Psychological care will be provided across multiple settings including hospital ward inpatients, day patients and outpatient services (in person, and via remote clinic), and occasionally in the community.
