Job summary
The Milton Keynes CAMHS team are seeking a part time (20 hours) Child Psychotherapist to work within a community CAMHS service based at Eaglestone Health Centre in Milton Keynes.
The post holder will be required to provide a psychotherapy service to children and adolescence who are experience mental health difficulties at a moderate to severe level. The post holder will be required to manage a caseload and offer psychotherapeutic assessment to service users.

Milton Keynes CAMHS is a multi disciplinary team of which the post holder will play a vital role in providing advice and consultation to colleagues.

To provide a qualified specialist child and adolescent psychotherapy service to children and young people with mental health problems across all sectors of care as part of a multi-disciplinary CAMHS Team. Providing highly specialist psychotherapeutic assessment and therapy to service users and their families/carers and advice and consultation on their care to non-psychotherapist colleagues and the professional network involved in their support. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the services policies and procedures. They will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research. They will contribute to and implement policy changes in line with the objectives set for the service and in collaboration with the services general management.

Essential
- Qualified Systemic Psychotherapist
- Current registration with the HCPC a systemic Psychotherapist
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
Desirable
- Leadership qualification or training

- Experience at graduate level or equivalent in mental health or social welfare
- Experience post qualifying as a Child Psychotherapist
- Experience of working therapeutically with families and children in various contexts Experience of working therapeutically in a multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team.
