Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team Milton Keynes Lifespan Eating Disorder Service. This is a specialist team providing evidence-based treatments for patients presenting with eating disorders and medical/ psychiatric co-morbidities, across the lifespan. The core purpose of the role is to provide structured therapies to patients presenting with a range of eating disorders, across a spectrum of severity.

Main duties of the job

It is Essential you have experience of working with Adults, some experience of working with young people would be Desirable.

We require individuals who have experience, knowledge and skills to deliver Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-ED/CBT-E/CBT-T). Additional therapies such as: Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT ), Specialist Supportive Clinical Management, Family Based Treatment (FBT), Family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (/FT-AN) would also help inform practice. Training in some of these therapy approaches can be considered as part of continuing professional development. There are also robust case management and supervision arrangements in place within the service and the Trust from clinicians within the eating disorders specialty.

We would welcome candidates with substantive experience of working within a Therapist role, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will also be required to contribute to clinically-relevant audit and research and will carry out relevant administrative duties. We will value and support your continued clinical and professional development.
