We have an exciting opportunity to be part of the neurological rehabilitation offered at St Pancras Rehabilitation Unit.
The inpatient neurorehabilitation team operates from St. Pancras Hospital, where their primary focus is to deliver Level 2 and Level 3 neurorehabilitation for adult patients requiring Occupational Therapy.
The team's overarching mission revolves around fostering recovery, enhancing independence, facilitating community integration and empowering patients for self-management when suitable.
Their work with clients spans a spectrum of need, ranging from brief assessments and treatments to extended rehabilitation periods or intricate discharge planning, all anchored in a goal-driven approach.
The team maintains a steadfast commitment to a clinical governance, emphasizing evidence-based practice, research involvement, and participation in audit programs among its members. The Team benefit from dedicated leadership from the NCL Stroke Lead and a Rehabilitation Consultant.

Main duties of the job
- Provide high quality Occupational Therapy input including assessment, treatment and advice to patients in a variety of settings.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with a range of stakeholders including patient's family members and MDT
- Provide patient centred care to ensure a holistic and individualised treatment/intervention is delivered
- Perform safe manual handling tasks, fitting and delivery of ADL equipment, and basic IT skills.
- Participate in evidence-based audits and service development projects in conjunction with the Joint Therapy team (OT/PT/SLT and psychology) in order to ensure high standards of care & service development are maintained and improved.
- Be an integral member of a team assuming delegated responsibilities for supervision of students and assistant members of staff as required.
- Be flexible and provide cover within the therapy department during periods of staff absence and deputise of the senior therapist as required.
- Ensure an understanding and adherence to trust values, policies and guidelines
- Participate in 7-day services as per our voluntary weekend rota
