Job summary

The Early Stroke Rehabilitation Team (ESRT) is a friendly, enthusiastic and supportive team passionate about delivering high quality patient-centred care. We are looking for an administrator to provide high quality administrative support to enable the team to operate as efficiently as possible. As an integral part of the team, you will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised, proactive and able to work flexibly.

Based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes the ESRT is a specialist multidisciplinary team, providing holistic, goal orientated rehabilitation for people who have a new stroke.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job will be to provide efficient, confidential and effective administration support to the Early Stroke Rehabilitation (ESRT). Your support will enable staff to carry out a range of clinical activity as quickly and effectively as is required.

The post holder duties will include managing and processing referrals, taking calls from referrers and our service users, arranging appointments, creating and organising service user files, ordering of supplies, arranging meetings and receiving and disseminating information. You will also contribute to clinical data management, audit work and managing staff related information, working closely with the ESRT Coordinator.

  • Maintain paper based filing systems for service users
  • Manage telephone calls from members of the public, referrers and staff from other services, relaying messages and information to appropriate members of the team
  • Maintain and update staff annual leave, study leave, sickness, unauthorised and authorised leave according to local procedures and keeping Healthroster system up-to-date
  • Assisting with the ordering, delivery and storage of supplies to the service
  • Support the ESRT Coordinator with data entry and reporting (including 'SSNAP')
  • Supporting the team with audit
  • Systm One daily team support

  • oGood standard of education at GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

Desirable

  • oCertificate in Microsoft IT packages e.g Excel, Word, Power Point
  • oEuropean Computer Driving License qualification

  • oWorking as part of a team
