Job summary

Do you have excellent clinical skills, with supervisor and leadership experience in a Talking Therapy service? Harrow Talking Therapies is looking for an innovative and experienced Senior High Intensity therapist/Deputy Clinical Lead to help lead our Step 2 and High Intensity CBT teams. You will be joining our existing lead clinicians to help manage our growing teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for appropriately qualified and experienced Talking Therapy CBT therapists to take on additional supervisory, managerial and service development related responsibilities and extend their knowledge and skills.

The role requires flexibility to lead across a range of roles and responsibilities within the management team. Applicants should be creative, innovative, enthusiastic and committed to developing staff and to staff wellbeing.

Applicants must have substantial experience of working as high intensity CBT therapists in a Talking Therapy service, managing complex client presentations and providing formal clinical supervision to Talking Therapy qualified staff and trainees. Experience of working with patients with long-term health conditions is highly desirable.

We currently have a 25/75 split of F2F and remote appointments, and so can offer hybrid working for most roles, although this may be subject to change if service user demand for F2F appointments increases.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must have current BABCP therapist accreditation as an essential requirement.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

The role involves provision of clinical supervision, operational management and training to qualified and trainee clinicians at Step 2 and HI CBT. You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the teams ensuring that staff work in accordance with NHS talking therapies standards and that the service achieves KPIs. You will also work with the senior management team to develop and improve the service and will take a lead on specific service development projects as required. The role also involves liaison with other services and facilitating good working relationships and pathways with other healthcare providers in the borough.
