Job summary

This role has oversight of the administrative process which supports the Health Visiting programme for Children's Developmental Reviews at 9-12 and 24-30 months. With a team of Band 3 administrators you will be responsible for preparing the cohort of children to be invited for these reviews, scheduling clinics on SystmOne and sending invites to parents.

The role also acts as a deputy to the Health Visiting Business Support Officer who manages all other administrators in the Camden Health Visiting Service.

Main duties of the job

The business support administrator will work closely with the Business Support Officer and the administrative team, to provide an efficient and effective administrative service to Camden Health Visiting Teams.

To provide high quality administrative support to the Health Visiting teams in scheduling, booking and management of the Health Visiting Developmental Reviews. To ensure that timescales for invitations for health reviews are met and to ensure appointments are offered within these timescales.

The post holder will need to have the ability to work independently as well as within a team. They will need to use their initiative and make decisions in order to deputise for the Business Support Officer's absence.

  • Educated to A level/NVQ 4 or equivalent, ( e.g. Business or Administrative Qualification eg NVQ, apprenticeship, BTEC)
  • Training on Microsoft Office Packages to Intermediate Level

Desirable

  • ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience of using databases and spreadsheets in day to day work
  • Experience of managing and/or mentoring new and junior administrative staff.
  • Experience of reviewing and developing administrative processes and procedures
  • Experience of using the full range of Microsoft office package in day to day work
  • Experience of dealing with the public with a proven ability to deliver a high standard of customer care
  • Experience of working in the public sector/ NHS
