We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Lead Occupational Therapistto join our Integrated Healthcare Service team at HMYOI Cookham Wood. At HMYOI Cookham Wood we care for 15-18-year-old boys in custody; we are looking for staff that understand their needs and work in line with 'Child First' principles. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality specialist Occupational Therapy service within Cookham Wood as part of a multi-disciplinary Health and Wellbeing team (HWBT). This will involve leading on a range of Specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions, evaluating and developing the service as required. The post holder will undertake Specialist Clinical responsibilities, completing specialised assessments to develop Occupational Therapy goals and delivery of interventions to young people with varying needs and complexities across the establishment. The post holder will possess excellent leadership skills, be able to work autonomously and in collaboration with Professionals within the service, families and young people and partner agencies.
