Job summary

Team administrator for the Home Treatment Team (Older Adults) based at Bentley House, Harrow HA3 5QX.

This is an interesting, varied and people-centred post, offering challenging but satisfying work. The administrator will be supporting a multidisciplinary older adults mental health community based service. We are a needs led service and work with service users that are physically frail and have a mental health problem. Our caseloads are a mixture of service users with long and enduring mental health issues, acute mental health issues or issues relating to memory loss. Our patients could also be struggling with anxiety, depression and other psychological difficulties. It is therefore key to the post, that the administrator should have a warm disposition and be naturally kindly (also to staff!).

You will be a part of a small admin team that supports the service. An organised, precise approach is required. Aside from reception duties, you will be required to manage and outcome referrals on Systm one and type assessment reports and assist with data input for the doctors or other staff who may require the support and help the office manager with routine administrative tasks.

To provide admin support to a busy Home Treatment Team , dedicated to Older Adults ,and be a part of a wider admin team within the older adult service.

The HTTis a nurse ledteam, comprising of CPNs, psychologists, support workersand doctors. The Older Adult Service is supported by a good admin system and offers excellent work environment. The team has good links with local statutory and non-statutory services. We are based in the Wealdstone area of Harrow, which has easy links to Central London and good local transport connections. The team works closely with Ellington Ward (Bedded unit) based in Northwick Park Hospital.

Essential

  • GCSE or other equivalent qualification
  • RSA III or NVQ III or 3 years secretarial experience

Desirable

  • European Computer Driving Licence

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Relevant qualification or significant experience secretarial experience.
  • Experience of providing receptionist duties and dealing with members of the public both face to face and on the phone.
  • Experience of working in health or health related environment
  • Experience of working with staff at senior level

Desirable

  • Work within multidisciplinary teams.

SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE

  • Ability to work in a flexible and organised manner, to prioritise and work to deadlines.
