The Brent community mental health services will be hosting a recruitment event on 19th August at Park Royal Mental Health Centre. Several exciting opportunities have opened up for aspiring RMN's to join our teams in the community in the heart of Brent where we have various opportunities to help you become a more enhanced community practitioner. We have positions in our Early Intervention in Psychosis team (EIS), Home Treatment Team (HTT) and our Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT).
We are looking for focused individuals, who are highly motivated with excellent communication skills. Community Services are becoming fast paced and rapidly changing to support the 'Out of Hospital Care' strategies, you will therefore need to demonstrate resilience in the ability to adapt to the changing landscape and opportunities.
Main duties of the job
CMHT and EIS - You will be expected to case manage an allocation of patients, monitor patients' mental state, promote independence, promote social inclusion, aid the recovery process, and reduce hospital admissions. EIS will have the added focus of working with a younger age group (14-35) utilising additional techniques such as Family Intervention (FI).
HTT - This role includes gatekeeping, home treatment providing alternatives to inpatient hospital care, and monitoring patients' safety and well-being to promote independence in the community, to reduce relapse rates and re-admissions. Facilitate early discharge and discharge follow-up.
Positions available to you;
- CMHT- Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm, however we are open to considering flexible working opportunities including condensed hours and working from home where possible to provide you with a healthier work-life balance
- HTT-7 days a week service working shift patterns
- EIS- Similar to our CMHT working patterns with flexible working considered.
